for the Restricted (VHF only) Radio Operator's Certificate and replaced
them with the GMDSS Short Range Certificate (SRC). These examinations
are conducted by the Royal Yachting Association.
Our course is designed to teach the operation of Radio Telephone VHF equipment,
including the GMDSS (DSC) system. The new system includes the use of EPIRB,
SART, NAVTEX. The VHF Short Range Certificate is the key to using VHF-DSC-radios
legally.
Skipper must be in possession of an operating certificate for the radio
equipment on board the ship.
You receive practical and theoretical training until you can confidently
pass the examination. We always instruct in small groups, insuring that
lessons are tailored to the instruction you require. All practical instructions
conducted with the same type of radio equipment used in the official examination.
